The company is pre-revenue and seeks to achieve an early IPO on the LSE prior to revenue and then execute its ambitious plan to deliver 1.5m affordable homes throughout the UK post listing. www.lowcarbonconstruction.co.uk/documentation/
The job role involves initially leading the company entrepreneurially through its pre-IPO fund raising efforts via equity/loan/bond and thereafter fully controlling the financial aspects of the company once a full listing on the LSE is achieved.
The attributes that the current board of directors believe that candidates should possess are as follows:
- Professional Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a proven track record at a senior executive or director level and possess entrepreneurial flair.
- Sector Experience: Knowledge of the UK social housing framework and/or experience of substantive equity fundraising pre-IPO.
- Corporate Finance Acumen: Specific experience in IPOs, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), raising private/public debt and/or large-scale treasury management.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to translate financial data into actionable long-term business models and influence at both shareholder and investor levels.
- Governance & Risk: Ensuring robust financial controls, governance, audit and risk management as the organization transitions to a publicly traded or highly leveraged entity.
The anticipated responsibilities of the role will be:
- Leading the financial preparation and due diligence processes for the IPO and/or major capital markets transactions.
- Overseeing complex financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and valuation analysis.
- Proactively engaging with underwriters, legal advisors, shareholders, and potential investors.
- Ensuring continuous compliance with listed-company financial requirements.
- Establishing finance teams and then; managing, mentoring, and expanding the finance, treasury, and corporate reporting teams.
